With the second phase of businesses reopening per Governor Ron DeSantis Phase 2 Guidelines, a slew of Tampa restaurants are ready to serve you. Popular Tampa food hall, The Hall on Franklin, is one of them and has a few exciting new updates that you should know about.
I had the pleasure of doing a phone interview with General Manager, Lili Fletcher to get the inside scoop on what customer’s can expect when The Hall on Franklin reopens, June 12,2020.
What changes can guest expect?
Per Lili Fletcher:
__Our Operations___
▪️ We have hired a Sanitizing Director to control sanitation during service hours and coordinate complete a deep clean after hours daily.
▪️ We have implemented single-use paper menus.
▪️ QR coded menus will be available for contactless ordering directly from your phone.
▪️ All staff will have their temperature checked before their shift and required to wear a mask during service.
____Our Experience___
▪️ Guest Capacity will be limited to 50%. We encourage you to make a reservation in advance to expedite check-in processes and ensure you will be seated right away.
▪️ Tables and chairs will be sanitized before and after each guest and positioned at a 6 feet distance from each other.
▪️ Bar chairs will be positioned for social distancing.
▪️ Sanitation stations will be positioned throughout the hall for guests and staff.
▪️ Guests are encouraged to wear masks, but not required.
Out with the old, in with the new
If you haven’t heard, two favorite food concepts are no longer at The Hall. Fan favorite dessert spot, Baken’ Babes, has relocated to Gen X Tavern. Popular Asian Fusion cuisine, North Star, has left The Hall as well and I currently have not heard where their new location will be. I will miss coming to The Hall and ordering Nutella stuffed chocolate chip cookies from Baken’ Babes and lobster Pho and Korean barbecue short ribs from North Star.

Jamal Wilson owner and restaurateur of The Hall on Franklin. Mr. Wilson has a background in real estate and is in the process of opening a similar food concept in the Orlando area just like The Hall on Franklin.
