Its no secret that Wesley Chapel, FL is a booming suburb in the Tampa Bay area. Just north of Tampa, FL it’s the place to be and live if you are in the market for great schools, beautiful homes and want to be away from the hustle and bustle of the Tampa life. BUT – if I’m being honest, the food scene here is SEVERLEY lacking.
Over the last several years, there have been some new and exciting additions to the Wesley Chapel area. Among them being a new Outlet Mall, new schools and new small businesses popping up everywhere. You would be surprised if I told you that the majority of the food establishments in the area are Big Chains – like McDonald’s & Culver’s, to name a few.
That’s why I’m so excited that King of the Coop has made its way north and landed in Wesley Chapel, FL! If you’re not familiar with King of the Coop then let me give you a quick run down.
Their claim to fame is their Nashville Hot chicken tenders. You can select your choice of spice level on any of their offers. Did I mention that they also offer catfish? Yes! And it’s really good too. No worries if you don’t love spice but do love fried chicken. There are four spice levels to choose from – Biddy (no spice), Midway (semi-spice), Nashville Hot (spicy) and King’s Fury (fire).
As The Fun Foodie Mama I highly recommend the Nashville Hot tender sandwich or the catfish with collard greens as your side. Their collards have a southern taste and are seasoned to perfection. Definitely a Fun Foodie Mama favorite!
